About Indira Gandhi Planetarium

Indira Gandhi Planetarium is a museum located on the banks of river Gomti in Surajkund Park, Lucknow. It is named after Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Indira Gandhi Planetarium was inaugurated in 2003 by Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati. Its main attractions are science and astronomy shows, 3D models and exhibitions.

Designed and modeled in the shape of Saturn with five rings surrounding the Indira Gandhi Planetarium, the building boasts of striking architecture depicting the Solar System.
