The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) plans to commission 12 metro stations in Agra by December. To this end, work on both corridors has been accelerated, and the deployment of machinery has also been increased. Track laying and civil engineering works are proceeding at a rapid pace, and weekly progress reports are being compiled. Panchanan Mishra, Deputy General Manager at UPMRC, stated that the first corridor is scheduled to be completed by December. This corridor comprises 12 stations; currently, metro services are operational across a stretch of six stations, extending from Taj East to Mankameshwar. Metro train operations on the subsequent five stations—up to the ISBT—are set to commence next month. Furthermore, construction work is progressing rapidly on the two stations immediately following this stretch: Guru Ka Tal and Sikandra. These stations are also expected to be ready by December, at which point metro train services will begin operating there as well.

आगरा मेट्रो के लिए उत्तर प्रदेश मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन की टीम 48 घंटे के अंदर आईएसबीटी से लेकर बिजली घर चौराहा तक अप लाइन में मेट्रो का ट्रायल करने जा रही है। सोमवार दोपहर बाद लखनऊ से उच्च अधिकारी आगरा आ जाएंगे और सबसे पहले ट्रैक का निरीक्षण करेंगे इसके बाद 1 से 2 मेट्रो का संचालन किया जाएगा। मेट्रो का परीक्षण दो माह तक चलेगा शुरुआत में मेट्रो की गति 10 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा होगी जिसे बाद में बढ़कर 90 किलोमीटर किया जाएगा। डाउन लाइन पर मेट्रो का ट्रायल जनवरी से शुरू होगा। कारपोरेशन के एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि होली के आसपास मेट्रो का संचालन शुरू करने का प्रस्ताव तैयार किया गया है।

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is currently under construction on a metro project in Agra, costing approximately ₹8,000 crore. Construction work has been completed from the RBS College Metro Station to the Khandari Ramp, part of the first corridor from Sikandra to the Taj East Gate. Track laying is also progressing rapidly. The RBS College Metro Station will provide improved connectivity for commuters traveling to and from nearby areas such as Delhi Gate and Sanjay Place. Similarly, work on the SN Medical College Metro Station, Agra College Metro Station, and Raja Ki Mandi Metro Station has also reached its final stages.

Metro construction is underway on MG Road in Agra. The divider has been barricaded. During the day, increased traffic creates traffic jams. At night, the numerous Metro cranes operating at the site cause problems, forcing traffic to be halted. Vehicles are forced to take alternate routes.
