  • 2026-03-16 - The Commission for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has begun the final safety inspection of the newly extended section of the Indore Metro, a crucial step before the corridor is opened to the public. A six-member technical team led by CMRS Commissioner Neelabra Sengupta began the assessment from Super Corridor Station No. 2 on Sunday (March 15). The inspection particularly focused on the 11.5-km stretch located between the Super Corridor and Radisson Square, which is part of the larger 17.5-km metro extension.

  • 2026-02-12 - The Metro Corporation has awarded a contract worth ₹2,200 crore for the underground route from MG Road to the airport. Underground stations are planned at Regal Square, Bada Ganpati, and the airport, although the revised route is still pending Cabinet approval. The metro management has changed the time of metro operation on the super priority corridor. Now the metro will run from 1 pm to 7 pm from Monday to Saturday. Earlier this service was operated from 10 am to 6 pm.
