2026-03-16 - The Commission for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has begun the final safety inspection of the newly extended section of the Indore Metro, a crucial step before the corridor is opened to the public. A six-member technical team led by CMRS Commissioner Neelabra Sengupta began the assessment from Super Corridor Station No. 2 on Sunday (March 15). The inspection particularly focused on the 11.5-km stretch located between the Super Corridor and Radisson Square, which is part of the larger 17.5-km metro extension.

2026-02-12 - The Metro Corporation has awarded a contract worth ₹2,200 crore for the underground route from MG Road to the airport. The mayor expressed his displeasure at the condition of the road from Lavkush Square to Bapat Square and asked why service roads hadn't been built when the bridges were already completed. He said that it had been 20 days since the rains stopped, yet not even a kilometer of the road had been repaired.

2025-08-05 - Two months have passed since the metro service started in Indore. Initially, the citizens were seen travelling with enthusiasm, but now the number of passengers has decreased. The metro management has changed the time of metro operation on the super priority corridor. Now the metro will run from 1 pm to 7 pm from Monday to Saturday. Earlier this service was operated from 10 am to 6 pm.
