About Bharat Bhavan

Bharat Bhavan is an autonomous multi-arts complex and museum, inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on February 13, 1982. The architecture of the building shines like a beautiful diamond. It houses several art galleries, a graphic printing workshop, a ceramics workshop, an open-air amphitheater, a studio theatre, an auditorium, a museum of tribal and folk art, and an Indian library.

Bharat Bhavan is spread over a total of 120,000 square feet which was designed by Charles Correa. Bharat Bhavan is a mix of courtyards, split-level exhibition spaces, galleries and performance halls.
